Twin Turbo LS1 Truck info
http://www.aerocharger.com/silvot.htm and of course thier main page at www.aerocharger.com
Looks kinda like a hack job to me though No intercoolers, rubber hoses, and instead of turbo manifolds you just flip the stock ones upside down
Anyone heard anything about them?

While I'm not the biggest Aerocharger fan ... they are one of the few companies that makes carb certed kits and integrate well with OEM equipment. That kit was probably intended to create more low rpm torque and maintain drivability rather than to make peak power. They have had that Prototype around for well over a year and the consumer interest was too low for them to mass produce or further explore.

Re: Twin Turbo LS1 Truck info
I dont know if any of you have the June 2000 Truck Trend layin around, but there is one bad-*** turbo truck in there. Lingenfelter made a 2000 Silverado ex-cab 2500 4x4 twin turbo truck that ran the 1/4 in 12.93 @ 105.5MPH. Also did 0-60 in 4.7 secs. He took out the stock 6.0 engine and replaced it with an LS1 5.7L engine from a vette. It is basically stock besides that, except for custom headers. Ran 6lbs of boost, and still hauled ***. It had stock gears and only BFG LT285's on the back, so the 60 ft time wasnt the best. This truck is pretty awesome.... one of the best sleepers I have seen, has stock suspension, a big 4X4 sticker and fender flares. Would beat the crap outta some stock SS's out there, and I would love to see it race!

Why the hell would he have wanted to take away displacement, even if the ls1 did weigh a little less (not TOO much less)
was he drunk when he made this decision???

Re: Twin Turbo LS1 Truck info
Slow Truck... Lingenfelter said that he used the 5.7L because he was very familiar with twin turbo systems on them, and he was worried about the enternals on the 6.0 all iron engine. I am with you on stayin with the 6.0, but I guess Lingenfelter didnt wanna risk it. It is still fast as hell, and I would love one, but uhhh i need like 20 grand.
