Default Turbo for l92

I have a trick turno kit which has been sitting in my garage for a while now. It was supposed to go into my 03 Tahoe 5.3. It has a 76mm magnum turbo. I got rid of the Tahoe and now have an 07 Denali xl. Rick told me the 76 would not be good to use. I’m looking for 500 whp and I pretty much daily the Denali no other mods done. What turbo do you guys recommend? Thanks for the help.

is the Denali a 6.2 truck? did they have 6.2s back in 07?

Do you know the hotside size? that might be his concern is the turbo choking in the upper RPMs with the bigger motor

Is the turbo a T4 or 6 frame?

the compressor side isn't the issue its the exhaust housing, What are the specs on the turbo? More then likely a t4 with a .96a/r im guessing so yeah you could make 500 with that turbo but your back pressure is going to be kinda high. Will spool pretty damn quick though. I say try it and see how it does. Now like everybody on this site, your prob going to want more and turn it up, in that case keep in mind your gonna need a bigger exhaust side on that turbo if your going to want to do that. I put a 76/75 precision on a buddies 6.2 (l86) and yeah it made 550 but he had no room to push it more. Exhaust back pressure was really high. Need a turbo with a bigger turbine wheel.

That’s exactly what it is 96a/t on a t4 flange.
So what would be a recommendation? It’s daily driven so I will have to constrain myself. But if I do turn it up I’m not going crazy with it.
