i don't have Atap or any other tuning program right now. i was just wondering if its possible to run leaner or richer from day to day. reason is a few weeks back i got my *** handed to me everytime me and a friend raced. i normally beat him. when i got home that night and looked at my gas, the needle had hardly moved (and i had done quit a bit of racing and driving that night). then today my truck is running like a turd again and i look at my gas and for very little driving and one race i burned up A LOT of gas. could this be the truck running rich/lean? is it possible to run rich/lean on a daily basis? or is it just a shitty gas gauge and my truck running bad cuz of weather? any help would be appreciated?

I notice a big difference between gas brands and whether its oxygenated or not. Gas in Dallas sucks, but if I can get a fill up a few miles out of town, it runs better.
With autotap, my Ltrims will be different depending on the gas I'm running.

i agree cashdude;
i've also noticed like bigtex said about the different gas stations. there's this certain one i've used and that **** burns super fast.

I realize that, I am trying to help crazyidiot figure out why his truck seems to use more gas sometimes. It is just that to be accurate the gauge SHOULD move proportional to the amount of fuel being used, but apparently GM did not make it this way. Also when you put your truck in neutral the needle takes a dive for a moment.
