TSP vs SE Headers.
#6
Speed engineering for fitment. I wouldn't bother paying more... and just put V bands on the collectors and it's golden. Neither come equipped anyway. The SE's have collector spikes and are plenty thick. Mine are missing a bolt per side while on my original LQ4 and still don't have leakage issues.....

Wasn't planning on posting in this thread, but noticed some of the facts are already incorrect. I will try and give an honest review on both since we are probably one of the few that know the differences.
Texas Speed TSP
Headers:
-Similar in design, made over seas
-Primaries: Seamless tubing. Same gauge thickness
-Flanges: 3/8"
-Collectors: Standard with merge spike included
-Fitment: Good to our knowledge
Y-Pipe
-Similar in design, made over seas
-Tubing: Same material and thickness
-99-06: Works with 4L60E. Close to front driveshaft
-07-13: Works with 4L60E. Rubs pan on some 6L80E trans
-Better bolts in clamps
Speed Engineering SE
Headers:
-Similar in design, made over seas
-Primaries: Seamed tubing. Same gauge thickness
-Flanges: 3/8"
-Collectors: Standard with merge spike included
-Fitment: Good
Y-Pipe
-Similar in design, made over seas
-Tubing: Same material and thickness
-99-06: Works with 4L60E & 4L80E. Revised for more driveshaft clearance, 4L80E, and wideband bung
-07-13: Works with 4L60E, 4L80E, & 6L80E. Revised for 6L80E, 3.5" for Denali & Escalade, and wideband bung
-Clamps are similar but bolts are poor quality "Bolt revision has been requested"
Really the main difference between our headers in quality is they run a seamless tubing on their headers, where we run a less expensive seemed tubing. With that being said out of the 4-5 years we have been selling them we have only seen a few that have ever cracked, and those that did were usually from production bends, and were caught before they were ever installed. We have customers running our turbo headers with the same material primaries running over 1000rwhp. Hope this helps. I tried not to be biased, obviously that's hard to do when its your product lol.
Thanks
Sean

I can tell you from my experience with TSP headers that the fitment isnt perfect, slight rubbing on the passenger framerail but live-able. The y pipe was horrible fitment and I have proof from emails back and forth with
TSP support that they were very aware that they didnt fit well on some trucks. Mine hits on the crossmember and the trans pan no matter how you adjust it. I ordered a speed engineering y pipe to see if the fitment would be different and they were the same identical y pipe even the wrapping in the box was strikingly similar.
I say pick your poison, my friends have speed engineering and really no complaints and other that the fitment issues my tsps are holding up well.

I ordered the SE, 1-7/8 with ypipe...just came in the other day haven't even opened the box yet. I picked them over the TSP, mostly because of the ongoing improvements Sean is taking to get fitment right...whether he got it right or not is another story lol but I'll know in a couple weeks. they're going on a 2012 yukon 6.2 6l80 awd
I'm kinda almost in south florida also if you want to come check them out for yourself (boostednnbs)
