no, its 2wd extended cab only.
yeah I don't have the shudder so bad but sometimes the truck get's stuck in 1st going to second and won't let it shift until the rpm come down. Could this might be the probelm, also my truck has been surging sometimes at low rpm when I try to pull in the garage like the tranmission isn't doing something right like the engine rpm are the same but the auotcraptic likes to do it. could this also be the problem. thanks also I have 6100 miles on the truck
i think your problem is there is a pcm update to correct, and some models , depending on the build date, requires a p/c control solenoid. heres the bulletin:

Transmission Has a Harsh 1-2 Shift, Slipping 1-2 Shift Followed by a Harsh Engagement (Replace Pressure Control Solenoid and Reprogram PCM on Certain Models)
2003 Cadillac Escalade

2003 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe

2003 GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL

with 4.8L or 5.3L V8 Engine and 4L60-E Automatic Transmission (RPO M30)

This bulletin is being revised to include a new vehicle production date and a revised solenoid part number. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 03-07-30-020B (Section 07 -- Transmission/Transaxle).

Condition
Some customers may comment about a harsh 1-2 shift, 1-2 slip shift that has a bump feeling when 2nd gear engages.

Correction
For 2003 model year vehicles produced prior to April 1, 2003, replace the Pressure Control Solenoid (PCS). Refer to the Control and Shift Solenoid Replacement procedure in the Transmission sub-section of the Service Manual (SI Document ID #825149). Also, reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

For 2003 model year vehicles produced on or after April 1, 2003, reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM

I have 1500 mi. on mine and something wierd happened today. As I was cruising along I got on it enough to drop it from 3rd to 2nd but when I got off the throttle it stayed in 2nd gear at about 3500 RPM and would not shift back into third. I slowed down thinking WTF and about 5 sec. later it finally shifted. Are the 4L60E's really that plagued? Makes me scared to do a tune and get rid of the Torque Managment if it wants to act up when its stock.
