I was thinking about getting true duals on my truck, its got the cats so, im not taking them off, im just wanting to take out the y-pipe and and put in a x-pipe or h-pipe, will this affect anything by putting in true duals just need some thoughts?

 

You'll lose a little low end torque... that's about it. Probably won't be noticable.

 

True dual hear with cats, low end there was some loss. Top end wide open runs there was a big improvement, my favorite mod so far.

 

I had regular 2 1/2" true duels with the cats and I loved the sound of it but I also didnt have an x pipe or h pipe. People say without the x/h pipe you lose low end torque but if you do one or the other you should be fine.

 

ive got true dual 2.5" goin into a dual in/out magnaflow. no cats, love the sound, didnt really notice any diff. in low end. got the stock 3.42's so not much low end to begin with

 

I also am about to to te same thing but I am adding some headers and removing the cats. Can't wait!!
