Default Trucks TV to do an installation the the LS1 truck header...

Check out Trucks TV this Saturday and Sunday, June 21-22 on Spike channel (formally TNN). The host Stacey David is performing a step by step install of the Dynatech (manufacturer of FLP headers) SuperMAXX header exhaust system. This is the same product the earned the prestigious "Best New Product" award, presented by General Motors at the 2002 SEMA Show. The install is performed on one of Stacey's project Chevy trucks with a 5.3L engine.

I wish they would show a Radix Supercharged 5.3 single-cab vs. a Lightning & a single-cab 5.3 vs. a single-cab hemi! Just a thought.

That would be pretty sweet! A few weeks ago I saw him do a bit on the Lightning, and going on how nice of a truck it was and all.

It usually comes on around 12.30pm CST. I usually go home for lunch to watch Trucks! and Horsepower TV.

The truck they are working on is a White ECSB '99 Silverado. They did a 2/4 drop on it and looks pretty cool like that now.

If you watch it, check out the cat-back system. It is weird...looks like it has a resonator and a Flowmaster on there! It is odd for sure.

If you guys watch Horsepower TV, last week they put a bunch of bolt ons on an old Impala SS. Flowmaster catback, CAI, and a TB. It was hilarious b/c they installed a twin 58mm TB and picked up 2rwhp at the top of the powerband! Hahhaha, goes to show don't waste money on a TB until you have the motor to suck it all in. Also they tried out an Airfoil (you know that little thing that goes in between the throttle blades on the TPI/LT1 cars) and it made 0rwhp gains! A complete waste of cash too. They did say they just wanted to see if it made any difference prior to installing that part.

Hitman, it looks like they used 2 flowmasters in a row on that truck with about 2 feet of pipe in between them. I hope they pull off the ground effects.

Why the hell would someone use two Flows in a row like that? Keep the sound down or something?

An yeah, I am glad someone else hates body stuff like that. My truck had those fruity nerf bars hanging off the sides when I got it and big stupid 3.5" chrome tips on 2.25" piping from the Flowmaster. Needless to say as soon as I got that home those nerf bars came right off as soon as that was done... I busted out the hacksaw and off came those horrid tips.

I can't believe I am gonna say this but...that stuff looks sooo tacky.

Yeah, TNN has changed again. Spike Lee is trying to sue them for sullying his good name.

Mitch - That's cool. Stacy makes everything look so easy but, this is truly an easy install.

Maybe I should send them a video of my ASM install. It would have lots of blood and cuss words though... I have the worst luck installing truck parts.
