My winter projects are as follows: Put the 5.3/Whipple combo in my '94 work truck (probably start on this in a week or 2), get serious about converting the '02 to AWD and the nitrous to wet, and maybe put a cab and air conditioner on the lawn mower.

Paint my front bumper to match the rest of the truck, roll pan, centerline 20's, fix my coolant leak, 4:10's and new posi, get re tuned, maybe some internal engine work. just get the thing ready to run some 11's and keep it a 4.8 liter

, your really going to try and do a 2wd to awd conversion? not trying to talk you out of it or anything but i am 99% sure you could do it for less money and almost no effort by trading in your truck on a 4wd. even if you could get the parts for free i would still go with a trade in.awd is the way to go if you want to be quick on the street!

Yeah, I am doing some research on it. I have talked to my connection at my dealer and if I decide to do it I will most likely buy a salvage truck for a donor vehicle. I tend to get attached to vehicles I like and I bought this truck new so I am planning on keeping it for a long time. So the cost involved is not the object-it is the challenge of the project and having what I want when its done that matters to me. I need to get my hands on a SS so I can put it up on the lift and study the underside. None of them around here that I know of, though.
