Default truck fuel system

how do the truck fuel system work?

is there a return line off the rails? if so, which years/motors have that.

im looking for a OEM return style rail for my TA, but don't like the price of the 97 vette rails, i've heard rumors of the truck rails being different.

also, how does the fuel pressure work? static, at 58psi, or vacuum referenced?

where is the regulator located?

thanks guys

Ryan

The truck fuel system is basically the same as the 97 vette.

- Fuel rail mounted manifold vacuum referenced regulator(driver side)
- Fuel return off the driver side rail.
- 58psi at 0 manifold vacuum.

The difference is that the trucks use smaller injectors with totally different electrical connectors. Because of these smaller injectors the mounting ears on the rails might not line up right with the LS1 manifold. The crossover on the truck rails is also much higher than the Fbody crossover because it has to clear the truck manifold which is very tall. This might look kinda goofy on a Fbody.

IMO, you'd be much better off just breaking down and getting the vette setup. Less hassle to make work and looks much better.

if you don't like the vette setup, contact speed inc. they have a nice setup that's pretty reasonably priced.
