just seems like a good, proven, solid cam for dirt cheap, and no one recommends or runs it? with this cam, ls9 springs ($70), and a circle d 278mm 3200, you're only in the hole $900 after a bot and gasket kit and the oil... that's crazy. sounds like a budget performer if you ask me. take it down even further,

fti 3200 stall-$310
FTI Transmissions & Converters SB3200LS FTI Street Brawler Series Torque Converters

trick flow 216/220 .560/.560 114 LSA- $290
Trick Flow® Track Max® Camshafts for GM LSX TFS-30602001 - SummitRacing.com

ls9 springs good to .580 lift-$70
GM LS9 Valve Springs Matched Sets - Lingenfelter Performance

gasket/crank bolt kit-$60
Basic Camshaft Bolt & Gasket Kit

ebay tru cool 40k-$140
Transmission Cooler HD 40 000 GVW Tow Towing Tru Cool RV LPD Low Pressure Drop | eBay

black bear tune-$200

plus shipping we'll say $100 for everything

plus oil and anti-freeze and any tools we'll say $150

this is cam install done the right way with all new parts, would perform great in a 5.3/4l60e truck. be in the 13s all day long in a rcsb. and only cost about $1320 that's unheard of. i'm just saying that it seems like everyone has to have a comp cam, PAC valve springs, and a yank stall and all the big name brand stuff, when they spend more money than time on research to end up with a similar result. a teenager like myself can save up this much money in a summer easily, and even pay to have it all installed for say another $750 if they aren't as blessed as some of us. that's a cammed/stalled 13 second truck for under 2 grand.

Run the trick flow, imo. They make quality parts. Saving $60 when Im spending over $1k isn't that big of a deal to me though. Also keep in mind, the specs at .050 aren't the only details of a cam to consider.

People running more aggressive cam grinds would choose PACs over LS9s.

A $310 converter isn't going to perform like a Yank. Sorry.

I could put a 5.3 rcsb in the 13s with less work and under $1300.

On a slight tangential note; You are blessed to have an able body and a sound mind. You are fortunate to have money to **** away on hot rodding.

Im under your price range..
Vinci cam
Circle D 278mm
LS6 springs
TSP pushrods
ARP cam bolt
Front gasket kit
6 quarts of moble 1
And coolant
I would buy good used parts, before cheap new, not saying your list is bad though.

You guys have to remember that Comp Cams has one of the largest names in the Camshaft industry. In order to do so, they spend alot of money on the marketing. This cost gets passed along to consumers.

As far as the different lobe designations, That's Exclusive to Comp Cams and there marketing so you won't see it listed on any other brands.

There is nothing wrong with the cam you chosen so if it meets your requirements then run it!!!

Trickflow cams are made by Lunati. My buddy has this cam in a 6.0 swapped into a 1964 Pontiac and it pulls pretty darn good. Has a slight lope at idle.

I thaught so!

you may want to check the the pricing because all the other trick flowlsx cams at summit racing cost 349.95 but that ones 287.95? seems like a error in pricing on summits end
