Default TRASFER CASE SWAP

I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD JUST SWAP MY Z-71 TRANFER CASE WITH ONE FROM AN AWD ESCLADE OR A C3 AND MAKE MY TRUCK AWD?

I want to know the same. I have a feeling that it could be done, but done know what all is involved.

I do know that the C3 and Escalade have a "beefed" up version of the 4L60E transmission that we have. It would be nice if the transfer case would be an easy swap. The auto4wd the I have is not anywhere near the same as the C3 has.

I am up for it. Almost all of my drive time is on the highway, and the offroading I do is mild. I would think the AWD setup would work just fine for my needs. I wonder how long it will be before used units will become available. There weren't very many C3s produced. Not sure about the 'lades. If someone finds me one, I will give it a go. <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
