Got the transmission buttoned back up friday night. Ended up replacing the pc solenoid again for a new stock unit. We didn't want to turn the current one down anymore for risking it being turned down too low and we couldn't remember how far we had turned it up before. The plastic accumulator piston was also replaced with the metal version and we ended up going with one spacer. The 1-2 shift is perfect now. Just the right amount of firmness but no tire squealing until about 1/2 throttle and even then it's a small chirp. At 3/4 throttle and WOT, it squeals a bit more but nothing really drastic. I couldn't believe how much power was getting robbed by having that shift set too firm.

Did you get the ac delco 1-2 accumulator piston shown in the pic in the previous post? If so, is the hole diameter the same on the new aluminum piston as the plastic piston? Glad everything's working for ya

Did you throw in the vette servo too or just the one piston? Just curious if I should put it in there when I do it next weekend. I had planned on one washer and wm looking for a little experiantail based opinions.

Thanks for the continual updates man.
