Default Trans Cooler ? (Yank 300)

This is the first time posting but I have been visting this site and others for over 2 years and really appreciate the information I have been able to get access to.

I have a 2001 Chev w/ 4.8L HPP3/K&N and just installed a Yank 3000

My question is I have the factory tow package w/aux cooler. Will this be enough or do I need to upgrade. I searched and saw mixed opions. Also I didn't install a shift kit or upgraded servos should I do so to extend tranny life or can I get by for awile without doing so.

Thank you for your responses.

You shouldn't have any problems running the 3000 stall with your factory tow package and aux cooler. I would add a cooler if the truck sees hard use or if you are able to monitor the tranny temp and see it getting higher than nornal. The Denali and Escalade clusters are a direct replacement and have a tranny temp gauge built in.

Damn a fellow Canadian !!
I've got a yank 3000 in my truck you'll like it
I would say get a cooler cheap insurance for a 100 bucks not a bad investment
New tranny is way more than that
plus it's an easy install

Do you need a shift kit with the Yank 3000/3200? I am getting a 3200 later and have the Corvette servo and HPP3 shifting. Will I still need the Transgo?
