I am getting ready to get a 40,000 GVW trans cooler and I was wondering if I sould get the one that has the thermal bypass valve with it? I live in VA and it gets around freezing for about a month but not that cold and I also travel to MI a couple times a year. What do you guys think?

 

how much time do you spend in MI?

 

probley 2 or 3 weeks at the most.

i wouldnt get it, ive read reviews where people have issues with that bypass, thats why I didnt get it...

 

Really? What kind of issues? I was thinking of eventually getting that cooler and the bypass, but I don't want issues!

 

my guess it gets stuck shut so you never really get the advantage of a cooler if it never goes thru it
