Sometimes I get an SES light. The error is P0757, Shift Selenoid B. What happens with my truck, is when it occurs, you notice how bad it takes off from a stop instantly. Pulling the gear lever down to 1st, will drop the tranny only into 2nd. Still not first. Restarting the vehicle helps, sometimes. But if allowed to set, it will work next time out. Also, if it happens, and you can't clear it by restarting it, clear the PCM code. As soon as I clear the code w/ EFI Live, it will drop back into 1st and operate normally. I think the reason it seems like a 5k stall, is because your staring out in 3rd gear.

Did you get any codes? SES light?

My truck
2003 Silverado SS
4L65E Auto
Yank TT3000
TCI shift kit
Mobile 1 Syn ATF
I guess this is my problem, not a broken tranny...phew...
I am gettin 3 codes:
1)The fuel sending unit which I know is crap since it never says the correct amount of fuel I have...
2) The same code you said you got, "Shift Selenoid B"
3) I think it's similar to the Shift Solenoid B, but I think it's Solenoid A??
I log my truck on MacADaYear's laptop and his bitch *** won't send me the file and I keep asking him to

I hear that onyx. My converter is sitting on my weight bench right now, just taunting me. And everytime I get in my truck, I turn down my radio to listen and feel how my truck shifts. I hate being so damn paranoid.

I believe you can rid the problem with Edit.
I've had the verter for less than a month.

But will turning off the error code actually cure the problem?, or just keep the error from showing up. Or, are you speaking of changing the allowed slippage range.

Let me first say that everytime I start my truck, I get the SES light (same codes....I've logged my truck several times and always get this upon start up)

Like I said, I only got this problem I described twice, after pushing my truck hard(lots of burnouts, donuts, etc.) and it acted like I had no first gear....No EFI Live hooked up

Whenever I would log with EFI Live, I would erase those codes before taking the truck out to log....and I would push my truck hard (donuts, burnouts, etc) and I never got that 5000 stall feeling...

So I would imagine that just erasing the code would solve it, but I am not sure. I will go out tonight and hook EFI Live up....I won't clear the codes right off the bat so I can see if I can replicate the problem...THEN I will clear the codes and see if it goes back to normal...we'll see

My point is, shutting off the code light does just that, keeps you from getting the code. The problem will still occur. That is what I want to fix.

Clearing the code also seemed to work for me, but so did shutting the truck off and restarting it after it sat for a few minutes. I guess it depends on how the truck operates. If it trips the code, then this prevents the gear shifting, I could see that deleting the code would stop the problem. But if it actually has a problem, then trips the code, this would cure it.

It's happened much more frequent in the cold weather lately. I would try to shut the code off tonight, but I don't have my Edit cable with me.
