Default Tranny slipping.

The last couple of weeks, I have noticed that my 1-2 shifts at part throttle were kind of firm and sloppy, so I was taking it easy. Today I was driving and I noticed that my 1-2 and my 3-4 are slipping during part throttle. It will shift and it does not go right into gear, it kind of floats for a second and then goes in. Does this mean it is time for a rebuild or what? Does anybody no what kind of money this would cost to fix? My warranty is up, so I can not go that route. I did check the fluid and it was fine. Thanks for your help. Kent.

Sounds like you Whippled your tranny. I don't know the prices in Cali, but a friend is getting a 4l60 from an F-body redone and beefed up for around $1500 in Houston.
