white, you want to use both coolers, splice in the aftermarket one directally after the factory one mount it to your front core support

there used to be an excellent write up on this but i just cant seem to find it anywhere
i forget which line it is, (cut one and have a buddy start the truck for 2 seconds?) if it pumps it out of the factory cooler you got the feed line out that goes to the top of the new tranny cooler and you should figure the rest out from there

Where do you live snaf? The alaska or canada thing is wrong. When I went to Alabam during christmas the temp outside was around 30*s and my tranny temp would barely get over 100* and that isnt good for the tranny operating temp is between 150 and 230ish. I fyou live up north get the one with the bypass if you live down south get the one without it. I live mostly in texas so I got the one without it.

Bay Area, CA. It doesnt hit the freezing temps out here, fairly mild and hot as hell in the summer.

Thank you for the help.

I have my tune on the way, billet grill, and all sorts of crap that I will be installing in the coming weeks. Since I will have the grill shell off for the billet grill install, figured I would yank the stock cooler and install this one in its place. Trans temps lately have been kissing at 200 deg. without towing with the factory tow package cooler. Figured I could use a bit more when the tune and shift kit / servos go in.

Then the one without the bypass will be jsut fine for your app. The best and biggest cooler on the market IMO. You get what you pay for and as you can see it costs twice as much as most other ones.

Actually I have been toying with the idea of getting another one so when I get an even higher stall it wont overheat in the stop and go traffic with some 10" fans that should keep it nice and cool.
