Mainly when it's something that already has like 3 or 4 active threads on the subject. or you can find the answer on the first page of your search result.

But stuff that is a little harder dont' bother me as much.

how many of this thread have you seen in the past couple weeks?

HOwever instead of just saying search and leaving it at that. I do let them know how to find the information and then provide my opinion on the subject.

If you want to bypass the cooler in the radiator, that's the way to do it. I prefer to run my auxiliary cooler in addition to the cooler in the rad. If you do it this way, you want to run the auxilary cooler in line with the return line back to the trans, which is the top line on our trucks. Remove the top line and fitting from the radiator, install a brass nipple or barbed fitting into the radiator (can't remember the thread size), install the inlet hose to the aux cooler to the fitting in the radiator, and the outlet over the line going back to the trans. You may be able to just slide the hose right over the existing end of the hard line and tighten it with a clamp, without any other modification to the existing hard line.
