I would go with 2, especially if you don't have a higher stall converter but, I think you do right?

I've never put 3 in a transgo so I don't know what to say about that. It would probably make for a very noticeable shift. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Changing the washers is not the hard part but, you do have to drop the pan which can be kinda messy. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Maybe Greg can shed some light on the transgo, I think he has one. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Thanks Bad <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

I have a Transgo with 3 washers, stock converter for now, and the shifts are definatly hard. At part throttle, I can chirp the 1-2 shift all the time. If you plan on keeping the stock converter, I would just go with 2 washers. You will notice Torque management more with a shift kit as well.
