i have a 2002 chevy heavy duty lifted 12 inches suspension and 3 inches body. im running 39.5 inch tires and a 3.73 gear ratio front and rear. what kind of tranny should i use for it. i was looking at the 4l60e or the 700r-4, or if anyone has another one in mind. thanks for the help

 

yours doesnt have the 4l80e?

 

If you have the 6.0 motor then you have 4.10:1 gears and a 4L80E. If you have the 8.1 then you may have a 3.73:1 gear set and should have the Allison tranny. I dunno if the 4L80E comes behind the 8.1 inthe trucks.

What is the problem with your trans?

well i want the LS6 for show. this is mainly going to be a show truck. so i figured id find a tranny to match up to the motor.

 

The tranny you have will match up fine. ???? Kinda confused what you are doing this for?
