Default Trailblazer Ext I6 to 6.0L Swap

Looking at getting a Trailblazer Ext and can only find the 6 cylinder models. I was curious of how hard it would be to swap a 6.0L in it. I tried doing a search, but didn't get anywhere with it. I assume it would be as straight forward as swapping out the motor mounts and setting it in there. I wasn't sure what tranny they have in it and whether the 6.0 would bolt up to it. If anybody knows about this swap, I'd appreciate the input. Thanks. Tim

Shouldn't be much different than any other lsx based swap into a vehicle. The transmission should even bolt up although I definitely wouldn't leave it stock.

If I were to settle for an I6 version, the swap would be a while down the road. Just checking on it ahead of time. If it isn't going to be as straight forward as my 4.3 to 6.0 silverado swap, then I would probably hunt for the 5.3 version a little longer. I was thinking it might be the same tranny as the 5.3 version with a different bellhousing, but that was just wishful thinking.

Don't forget that people swap in i-6 converters into their trucks all the time so it is at least a 4l60e variation.

I thought when people did the converter swap, it was out of the v8 models. That would be nice, if it is the same.

Nope I'm 100% positive people desire the i-6 converter.

It's either a 4l60e or a 4l70e. I'm willing to bet it's a 4l60e. Either way I'm positive it's a 4l60e variation.
