Default trailblazer converter

ive got a 99 sierra scsb stepside. ive got a k&n fipk, underdrive pullies, gibson shorties, a hypertech programmer(i need a tune), electric fans, and some accel plug wires. ive got a set of thorley tri ys on the way. i ran a 9.56 2.27 60' at 74.78 mph about 3 weeks ago. i really want to get a torque converter but i dont have much money to spend on it. i think i am going to go with a trailblazer converter. what kind of performance gains can i expect with a converter and the thorley headers?

I plan to get one of these too. I use my 4wd a lot, and tow a small boat some also.

I'm pretty happy with mine. If you have the money at least go with a 3000. After driving awhile you wont even tell its in there.
