you can allways have your stock converter stalled to 2500 like the one i have in my truck, hell i went from 2.16 to 2.03 on my 60' times

i heard it was like 150 to have it restalled.

Would a TB converter hold up to 450 hp.

Yes it would hold up to 450hp without a problem. One of the guys on the silverado ss board had heads/cam, and I think a 150 shot on his. The input drum collar broke on the 65E before the TB converter went out. They are being used in a few trucks with pretty decent power.

sorry new to this but whats the point of the tb converter? can you put them in the 5.3's?

It was a mis-spelling. He meant TQ converter aka torque converter.

No I think he did mean TB as in TrailBlazer convertor.
