I agree, the LQ9 really likes a few mods. Give it some break in miles and it will feel better. My SS wasn't fast, but I could definitely feel the increased torque over my 5.3. After a few hundred miles it woke up.

Great buy 03red. Did you keep any performance stuff from the other truck?
1. finding a good complete 6.0 with heads and low miles
2. the mechanical ability to do a swap yourself.
3. the mechanical ability to fix and troubleshoot any unforeseen complications since you definately wont have a warranty
None of which I have.
Looks like you got a good buy.
If I could get that setup in a Tahoe I would trade. Thats just me though and like I said I have near zero mechnical ability.Of course I would need the LQ4 for my setup which I will be posting times for in the next few weeks hopefully
Im expecting a decent spot on the fastest truck list if my tranny holds up to a couple of runs.

I have the ability to do the swap myself but would rather not. I've grown to hate working on my own car. I went from building motors to getting my oil changed for me. I wouldn't mind the swap, but the complications would suck..
(you think they would notice if i swapped in an LS6 cam and a 5.3 rotating assembly
