I was out last night and noticed its about 500 miles since I went from open to the Eaton posi unit. I floored from a dead stop without stalling it and spun my wheels really bad. I went back to see the tire marks and sure enough there were 2 even tire marks. I tried it again and same results. I tried again and this time I stalled to about 1k rpm and I spun even woerse. I had to let go since my truck's rear was going to one side. I don't know what is going on. I really thought I was not going to have any wheel spin with this new unit installed. What do you guys suggenst I do? Could it be too much friction addative was used when It was installed or this type of wheel spin is normal. I just have take it easy on gas during take off. I know on my 01 sierra, before it became a one legger with my Auburn, I would not have wheel spin no matter how much I stalled it. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like its working fine. The 01 was heavier and was making less power/torque with the 4.8.What tires are you running, that can have somthing to do with your traction problem.

The Stock Tires really suck ***.
Get yourself a set of nitto's or toyo's and you'll be way happier with your traction off the line .Do you have ride Control on the truck the adjustable suspension ?
keep it off if you want traction the weight transfer is way better with out in on FIRM ride
Also what tire preasure are you running in the stockers ?
I was running 30 psi if not lower in my rears
Mess around with the tire Preasure and things might get better for you on the stock tires.

I'm gettin the posi soon too.
Besides good tires, what else helps?
Does a mild drop (hotchkis 2/4 and sways) help with traction? Can I add traction bars to this drop?
Thanks...

You can add traction bars to the kit. I have seen some made by AIM industries in AZ. I was considering them, but I think I am going to do a coil over and ladder bar set up in the rear.
