I have a 215/215 cam in my truck and think it's a little too big. That cam would be way to big in a 5.3 IMO.

I'll let you know how my 226-.635-112 cam does vs my current Z06 cam. Then we'll see what's too big and whats not

Everyone said Paul's 224/232 cam was too big for a 6.0L but turns out it aint.

Besides, if 5.7Ls can run 236 cams why would a 220 not work in a 5.3L?

I just got an email from a f-body guy, talking about his friends TR220'd 5.3 today. He said it's running fine on a stock tune, and he swears there is no loss in low-end. The guy pulls his sled trailer with it. I'd give more details, but it's at my work address...

I'm heavily leaning towards this cam in my 6.0. I'm looking to purchase something within the next 4 weeks. If you can wait til April for the install, I'll let you know how everything it turns out.

Smoke - What's the lift or lobes on that 215/215 you have? I hear the lower lift Comp grinds actually lose more lowend than the more agressive Comp grinds or similar TR's grinds.

if you have the ability to tune it the 220 cam will be sweet. there are several 5.3s around with much larger cams. and a couple on stock tunes and stock converters.
