according to his sig he is running a circle d 3200 converter. should have ended up being a good combo for the 5.3.

what kinda times are ya running? i'm thinkin about a bigger cam if i cant hit high 13s.

I had a TR220 but it didnt make it in my truck.. glad i went with the smaller cam

Couldn't put it better myself. Even on the stock stall.

That's surprising, considering I've always heard the 212/218 XR265HR was as big as you wanted to go. Makes me curious what my 5.3 would have been like with one.

I also think the Thunder racing 220 or Texas speed 220 is about the best off the shelf cam you can get for a 5.3L but depends on what all you want to do.

For all who asked.....I ordered the 220 cam, however after 5-6 weeks of waiting for TR to ship it i finally got pissed and canceled the order. After they kept telling me oh it will ship within the next 2 days as the shipment with your cam will be in, well after 6 weeks of that i said screw it. Will be ordering a cam here within the month though, but I think ill be going the Comp 216/220 route as i don't know if i want to give TR another chance but if i do consider giving it another shot ill go with the 220.

Yes i do have a Circle D 3200 stall.

why not the tsp220r? similar specs and price with just a little more lift
