Default Torque Converter ?

I'v pretty much deciced to get the TT3000, my question is when the transmission eventally goes out can the converter be reused (cleaned rebuilt etc)?

Yes it can be cleaned/flushed. And the only rebuild I'd see it needed would be if the lockup clutch took a ****. Then just get it serviced from Yank prolly. It should take quite some time to eat the lockup clutch...I'd say in excess of 125K.

Just kind of leary about spending so much for a converter going into the 4l60e (that is notoriously weak), then having to purchase another one.

i had my yank 3000 serviced, it cost $150 to cut it open, clean and check everything, weld it back together and ballance it.
