Default Torq Thrust ST

I'm really considering a set of 18"x8.5" Torq Thrust ST gunmetal gray wheels to replace my stock chrome 16"x6.5" wheels. I currently have 255 70 16 tires on the truck now and I will probably go with some 255 55 18 tires on the Torq Thrust ST's. How will these wheels affect the performance of my truck? Will I lose some straight line acceleration and braking effectiveness? What about overall weight and unsprung weight of these wheels compared to my stock 16's? Any info would be appreciated.

Don't know any real answers to your questions but in general larger tires and wheels will affect acceleration and braking. They can even weigh less and due to the mass being further from the center of axle still have the same effect. I really like your taste. These are the exact wheels going on my ride sometime soon. Shod with Michelin Pilots. Oh chances are this post will get moved to the appearance forum.
