anything that is placed in the intake tube and spins is definately going to obstruct airflow. isn't this common sence? don"t mean to be rude, just wanted to give u a different perspective. definately not made by k&n. I would by a t/b spaced b-4 that pos. but i don't think they are worth a **** either. just pass!

All of you guys are saying the Tornado is junk other than v8.
Though I will have to side with v8 guys on this one.
My previous 5.3L with the K&N FPIK kit and a Tornado(not at all assosiated with K&N) made quite a bit of difference in the seat of the pants.
Though no power gain is really evident at low and mid range rpm levels, it definitely made a difference in the upper rpm's. When I installed just the FPIK kit, I felt no power gain what-so-ever. A month later I add the Tornado, and the power increase was felt. A 1.5 MPG increase was found here too.
After a few months of driving, I started to think that the Tornado wasn't really helping. I pulled out the Tornado and ran it for a week.
My results concluded equal lower and mid range power with or without the Tornado. Though without the Tornado I felt a decrease in upper (4,500-5,900 rpm's) power range. It just didn't pull as hard or accelerate as quick to redline. A slight 1 mpg decrease was found too.
I re-installed the Tornado and upper rpm power was increased and my mpg was restored.

let me guess...you also have a gazelle, a juiceman juicer, and make $50,000 a month working out of your home for 30 min. a day.
don't believe everything you see on tv at 3 a.m.
