The puller that you need is called the Chrysler/GM puller, it has 3 jaws and a few different length rods that fit into the crank. Guys have used other 3 jaw pullers, but it can be a little tricky...

Harbor Freight has a new tool for serpentine pulleys. It has movable jaws that fit into the jaws on the pulley where the belt rides. The only problem is that the GenIII pulley is quite large. It is too big for the tool so I machined a longer piece of round stock on the lathe that is wide enough to fit the GenIII pulley. It works great. I only have to use this new piece with the tool on the GenIII crank pulley. Otherwise I use it as it came from Harbor Freight. It uses two jaws instead of three legs.
