yeah I'm going to wait for his response, see if he's got stock rims or not...... I assumed he had stock rims,,,,,

the 295s require 8-10" so eitherway, it'd be a real tight fit....

all in all my head is stuck on BFGs, I may make phonecalls tomorrow to see if BFG has a new 285 around......but from what I know now, my only option for the radial T/As are 265 and 295.....im not seein anything between on the site atleast......and I really don't want to drop to 265s....

I am running the 275/60/16 Toyos on a stock 16x7 aluminum rim. Actually, they are chromed stockers, but they are only 7" in width. I was skeptical about whether 1)they would fit a 7" rim and 2)would they look ok. The answers are YES and YES. If anyone wants some pics, email me at "sfranklin9@aol.com" and I will shoot some to you. Once again, fantastic tires!!

Well I guess I should go back a bit on some of what i said. I dont fight the air pressure that much because i am too lazy to check it. I rotate my tire maybe twice until they wear out. I get them balance about every 7000 miles now so they dont ride like crap. I have them on center lines 16x8's thrusters. I have the open rear end so that is why they burn the centers out so quick. when they are on the front they do great. I think that is because of the engine weight though. I' ll end up buying them again. I only buy them two at a time so I am stuck with them. You will like them I am pretty sure. It is hard to say if they really hook because of the open rear end. Since my rims are set that they dont stick out any from the fender wells they look tuff tuvked under the truck. They wont work with a stock rim. This is my second set and I have almost 90k on the truck

alright, well I got my new shoes......

As far as the BFGs, heres what I came to. Only the 295 and 265 are available for the Radial T/As for a 16" rim. Worst part, only s-rated. I couldn't imagine not comfortable taking my truck over 112 again, so, it pretty much ruled the BFGs out, not to mention the size issues. My truck see's more top than bottom, thats for sure. Its really unfortunate BFG discontinued the Sport Trucks T/As, they were great tires. I would have gotten them again if I could.

So after some more reading and investigating, not to mention look at several other tire companys, guess which one won in the end.

Thats right, the Toyo Proxe S/T's. 275/60s/R16.....

With a treadwear of 420, V speed rating, shorter tire height, great appearance/tread design, and a 500 mile trial offer, it was hard liking too much else.

And though the site says 8.5-11 for rims, I think its a mistake. The tires themselves are 11.1 inches wide.

i had bf goodrich comp T/As on my truck when i first got the new wheels, they sucked. i have goodyear eagle GT2s now, 275/60/17, i like them, they hook well on the track, they held a 100 shot out of the hole pretty well. and they smoke like a damn forest fire with a jab of the gas. just my .02
