Just weld the spider gears together instant posi, it will act like a spool.

I like it a lot. Acts fine on the street but if you step too hard on the gas in the corners the inside tire will chirp. I'm used to it now as I have had it for a few months. As far as the power issue, I don't know about that but you should be able to contact them and ask. Works great in my application. ECSB 5.3 Auto 2wd. I've probabally got 5 - 6,000 on it.

P.S. DON'T weld the spider gears! I did this once in my teens and will never do it again, Terrible street manners, bucking on corners, hard to shift, ect, ect, ect.
