well im going to be doing a cam swap in my truck very soon so should i replace the chain my truck has 55k on it and if i do i was thinking of doing a ls2

The LS2 chain isn't any better than your stocker. It's just as sloppy. If you're going to get a new chain, get it as a matched set with NEW SPROCKETS and get a decent brand as well. Like a ProGear.
