I have a slight tick with mine too while it idles. It's pretty soft and I only notice it half the time when it's idleing even though it's always doing it. It kind of sounds like somebody flipping through a deck of cards yet softer and constant. Don't know what it is though...

i got that too. ive always assumed it was my idler pulley or something like that that is wearing out. thought it was a belt issue and changed belts. a week later the sound was back. who knows

My girls 04 Sierra does this too, I have yet to figure it out, but it doesn't seem to be hurting anything.

All the new truck engines do it. Chevy calls it "normal operation". I haven't seen anywhere that it has caused any problems...

I have to run 93 octane on mine. But it never did it even before tuning and was only running 89. now my g/f runs 89 octane and hers is the one that ticks ever so slightly. Its very light, but drives me crazy, doesn't seem to bother her at all.
