As I start pressing the pedal and I get about halfway through it, it has a dead spot and I have to keep pressing it before it starts accelerating again. Has anyone else had this problem or know what it could be? Trucks an 05 silverado 5.3.

 

does it downshift when you are pressing the pedal... cause i know if i press half way and it down shift and i dont keep pressing(to wot) it just revs and doesnt go anywhere

 

No. It just doesn't do anything. Actually it starts about 1/4 throttle. It's just a dead spot. When I get past it it starts accelerating again.
