I've just figured out what it is, (I think)
You bypass the coolent that is ran throu the throttle body, The Idea is to not let your 200deg coolent heat up your engines incoming air.

I don't know if it helps, but I did it. What could it hurt?? At least till it gets cold, which it never does in La.

Any mod (short of something that would f*** up the truck) you can do in 10 minutes or less with $5 cost has my vote, whether it works or not. I did it, haven't noticed a difference, but I don't have anything to lose here in AZ, I will never need hot coolant through the TB.

Well with the low gains of 6-8rwhp, your not really going to notice it, but from the dyno results ive seen on several fbodies, for $5 and 10 minutes, its worth it.

5/8"" hose clamps
3/8" hard line (i used a/c colling line)
3/8" or 5/8" vaccuum caps for the throttle body

People like BMR trying to sell the kit for $15, such a rip.

I did it. I didn't feel a difference in SOTP performance. It does give you HP just so little that its unnoticable, but its there. Every horse more the engine produces... the quicker the truck will run. So if I had to, I would do it again. Just my .02

Do you have to burp the cooling system afterward? Or do you need to replace the little bit of coolant that you loose while removing the hoses from the TB? I have been wanting to do this for some time now but am a little nervous since I haven't done anything like this before.
