Default Throttle body question

I am putting an 03 5.3l motor in my S10. the motor I have has the fly by TB on it. I need a cable driven TB. Will an ls1 TB fit to the motor and harness, or do any of you have a stock cable driven TB layin around you would want to sell?

I believe the plug is different on the DBW TB's, but the LS1 will physically bolt up to the intake manifold. The ECU will have different programming to control the TB motor...

It shouldn't be to hard to wire in your own TPS sensor as the wires are there, and I know people have posted the wiring diagrams on here several times... You should just need the 5V source and the signal back to the ECU from the TPS. Then, all you would have to do is trim off the wires for the motor control and reprogram the ECU to the earlier '99-'02 cable truck setup... I think they use the same ECU, right???

Thats what i heard about the ecu. I am having a current performance make me a custom harness, so i guess i will just need to tell him that it is a ls1 TB and he will add the wires and tune the computer.

most computers have the settings in htem for the DBW. so you just need to wire up the IAC and the TPS and your set along with tune
