This is usually the case with a sticking throttle body...I clean mine about once a year as preventive maintenance. Deep Creep or some other form of induction cleaner works(I like the BG induction cleaner that I get from work). If the tb hasn't been cleaned in a while (or ever), the best way is to totally remove it so you can access the back of the throttle blade completely. Since I clean mine routinely, I usually just remove the intake tube, hold the throttle blade open, liberally spray the cleaner and wipe it well with a shop rag...then rinse and repeat.

Ha, I should take a picture of the back of my stock TB. It's entirely black, with about half a millimeter of soot. Cant even see any metal.
