Question Throttle body bypass.

Hey guys. I keep hearing about a Throttle Body Bypass kit on here. What exactly is it? What are the Pros and cons? Where can I go to read / see one?

I am NOT talking about a TB spacer. Those are only for TBI trucks 87-95.

Thanks guys.

It's when you bypass your throttle body out of the coolant loop. Pull the hose off the tb that is connected to the radiator, and the block end of the other hose. Then put the hose from the radiator straight to the block and the free hose back to the tb. AFAIK it's supposed to help on cold starts by warming the tb and therefore the iat. I actually noticed faster warmups by un-dong the tb-bypass. No one has proven either way with it, but people do it just for lower iats. I undid it because it's getting to the thirties in the mornings here and my truck runs like in the cold, but most guys have no problem from what i understand.
