Default Throttle body?

I've finally decided to buy the LSXRT intake for my truck but was curious about the throttle body. I have a 2000 5.3 silverado and was wondering if i'll be needing the throttle body adapter plate?

Sounds like you are planning on running the stock TB? If you are your gains will be minimal. You need atleast a 90mm TB for the intake to show any gains.

On trucks with a cable drive throttle body you run a FAST 92mm or 102mm Throttle body. The 92mm is plenty for 99% of people. It will flow all the air you need plus it will have a better chance of fitting your CAI setup.

You should have really nice gains over the Big Ugly intake!
