Thoughts on nobs build
#1
I have a 2007 gmc rcsb with 50k miles and I'd like to get a little more power from it. Current mods are circle d 3200 stall, tru trac with 4.10 gears, and magnaflow cat back. This truck is a daily and will never see any serious racing I'm just wanting something to have fun with. Based on this info how well would a Texas speed low lift cam work? Specs are 216/220 .550 .550 113lsa. Anyone know how it will play with my setup and what the power band is? I don't want to raise my redline and I was told I could install it +4 to bring the power band down. Is that a good idea? Also opinions on speed engineering long tubes? I'd like to pick up 60-80hp if possible and get 20mpg too

I know. I'm hopeing I can but if not I may drop my gears to 3.73 or less. I currently get 16-17 mpg. I have a friend that has a cam, full exhaust, 3600 stall, and 3.73 and he gets 20-22 highway and about 18 city.

Went with a btr stage 4 cam. Final mod list is btr stage 4 cam, speed engineering headers and y pipe, magnaflow cat back, 4.10 gears with tru track diff, and a circle d 3200 stall and a 2" lowering kit. Getting it tuned soon and will post results. Already has way more power than before the cam
