Ohhh I just re-read your post and understood what you were saying, my bad. You're saying that if they increase the resistance in the wire there will be a higher voltage between the coil and plug. Got it.
But...think about it this way. For a fixed voltage (I don't know what kind of voltage the coil packs run at), the lower the resistance is, the higher the current will be, and the stronger the spark will be. Voltage is a potential difference. You want the difference to be between the anode and cathode of the plug, not between the coil and the plug. The higher the resistance of the wire, the less energy you are transferring to the plug, and the weaker the spark is that you will get.
Say that the coils run at 1000 volts. If there is 1000 ohm resistance in the wire, and E=IR, then 1000 = I*1000, or I=1000/1000= 1 amp. Not a lot. Now say the resistance in the wire is 10 ohms. 1000=I*10, or I=1000/10=100 amps. Much better for spark. I know the real numbers are much different than that, but I'm just using them for this example. The lower the resistance of the plug wire, the better off your spark will be.

MSD 8 mm ..felt that the truck was smoother. Stock wires had 150k miles on them and still worked good. also changed worn out spark plugs a the same time. No HP or seat of the pants feel with this upgrade. Bought from Summit Racing

I ran JBA Powercables for a while on my 04, then switched out to the MSD's, then back to the stockers. I was unimpressed with the MSD's, actually only ran them a few weeks, kept having problems with them, plug boot at the plug burnt up and it wasn't touching the header at all. The one boot on the passenger side that was slightly touching the header was fine. Kept having a misfire problem so I put back on the stockers and it went away. I also had very good luck with the JBA Powercables.
