Default Those 03+ that went from V6 to V8

What did you do with the gas pedal, V6 is cable, and V8s this year are DBW, we have the pedal and all but it doesn't bolt up under there, should I get the whole bracket for the firewall or can I use a cable TB?

I used some self tapping screws...i just bent the original pedal tabs out of the way.

I want to switch to cable, i hate working on the engine and needed to idle it up and having to go into the cab...i also want to because i cant figure out the cruise control.

I was just thinking that we could take the cable one out and weld or bolt on a new one. IIRC, when i took the pedal off the truck with the electronic TB it had studs on the firewall, there was no bracket.

It uses the same studs for the tac module on the firewall that the cruise control module used, but not the same case for the pedal.

like others have said, just drill thru the firewall and bend the tabs, pedal is not a direct fit.
