not calling it a turd but at 4600lbs and on motor only going a high 12...well

to the OP, for the cost to gather up all the parts needed for the swap to L92/Ls3 heads you can pick up a good set of cathedral port heads. Now if you some how found a deal on all the L92 stuff then find a stock LS3 cam from the Camaros this will work great and make plenty of power for daily driver but what do I know I drive a ford

A full Nitrous build isnt made to run amazing n/a. My best guess is they didnt spend any time trying to squeeze out n/a times where someone like skeet spent every other weekend for a year working out the n/a tune. Otherwise im on the same cathedral side of the fence.

Heavy vehicles need motivation to make it down the track. A ls motor already struggles to make usable torque for a heavy vehicle no reason to apply parts to it to move that power band upward any higher.

Yes you can make up some ve by upping timing to help with lazy heads and over sized cam to help but why? If your down on power why run that build? Spinning high in a heavy truck is kinda pointless use grunt to get going.

As for a nitrous motor, if we were talking about a all out drag motor yes but a motor in a daily shouldn't be a nitrous motor

Also if you go custom cam make sure to do research before picking your guy, quite a few guys out there that are internet famous....I sure as hell wouldn't let a guy like Lil john spec anything for a motor

The great debate!
I rather cathedral port.
I like the torque down low for daily driving n towing my boat.
Might be skipping out on peak power but it has the power where I want and use it at.

all theories aside, dirttrack has the best 2wd 60' that I've seen, and has the fastest n20 ecsb that I know of. he's doing it instead of talking about how to do it. skeet had a beast of a n/a 6.0. both trucks with L92 heads. time for one of us cathedral fans to build something to out perform instead of talking about it. i don't have a full size anymore so i'm out

I like this . Most people who hate on the rectangle port heads have never had any experience with them. Its like the grandpa that still thinks the gen 1 small block chevy is the best engine on the planet.
