Umm, it wasn't really this loud at first, and its gradually gotten slightly louder as the miles have gone by.

I use royal purple 5-30 and a quart of lucas synthetic oil stabilizer in every oil change. Maybe I need to bump it up to 10-30? Motor looked very clean when I opened it up to do the cam swap. Corey put the springs on for me, everything looked great there, I put the cam/pushrods in, and buttoned the motor back up, using a tq wrench on every bolt that it was necessary, including the rocker arms. It might just be that there is less sound deadening material on the drivers side?

For the little time it takes to do it, just do it, not like you have to replace the gaskets or anything. **** we usually torque them by hand, lol. No issues at all on any of the cam swaps we have done.

For those of you who have had a loose rocker, is it usually very loud? I hope its not a bad lifter

I rarely hear of any LS engine loosing a lifter unless its a DOD engine, they usually break. I would say its a loose rocker if anything, yes its very loud if not tight.

You can't hear it when riding in the passenger seat, or when standing outside looking in the engine bay.

Would it be worth the trouble to pull the valve covers and check the torque on all of them, or am I just being paranoid?
just curious, but what springs did you use...cuz i have been thinking the excact same thing as you...seems very audiable from the driverside but with the windows in and radio off you can really hear em sing...i have around 4-5k on my cam swap, but i did read that they kinda get louder over time...i have the sdpc srpings...
