Default Thinking about nitrous

One of my friends drove his new dodge up to me tonight and sprayed his purge kit and showed off his new NX nitrous system. It really got me thinking about nitrous. I've got about 71,000 miles on my 5.3 and I keep it in good shape. I don't want to over do it so I have been thinking about a 35-50 shot using the NX wet GM EFI kit. Would this be safe to run on my engine since its almost stock? What other mods should I do to ensure a good and safe nitrous system. I know the basics to nitrous but I have never used it so I guess I'm new to it. I need some opinions from some people who spray.

you will hardly feel a 35 -50. most people say HPPIII 93 octane is NOT a good idea with nitrous.

I would suggest a 87 tune, with a 100 shot and make sure everything is factored around nitrous, like colder plugs, safety measures, proper tuning.

Good luck.

Yeah I planned on removing the hypertech III and getting some new NGK plugs. I thought the NX GM EFI was for stock tuned trucks. I really don't want to have to get it tuned because it cost a lot of money.

Anything under a 75hp shot is a waste IMO. 100HP shot is safe as long as you monitor it and make sure your AFR is safe.

I'm not going to be spraying all of the time. Maybe like a few times a month or more. Do you think a 75 will mess up my tranny?
