Default Thinking about

I was thinking about putting some of that header wrap around my intake tube to help keep the air in there a little cooler. I know it wont help a whole lot if at all BUT it may and it's only like 12 bucks to do the whole tube. What do you guys think?

Plastic is a very good insulator. A waste of 12 bucks IMHO.

Yeah I understand. Started to edit the post as it may have come across as an intelligent rectum remark. Hope not. Just my opinion.

Jegs makes an aluminized wrap that utilizes "shoe laces" to keep it secure to the tube. They claim that it reflects 90% or 98% of the heat. They use this stuff on turbo cars that I've personally seen @ the track. If turbo cars use this stuff on their cars then it might be worth looking into. But on the flipside, when your making that much power, you might notice a difference. Our trucks, maybe not. It would be cool to have something like this dynod. The cars that I've seen it on run 7.14 in the quarter.(Dam Mullins, Mike Marillo.....just to name two) I've also seen turbo wraps too.....just fyi.......anything to make more power!!!

I agreee if it adds .0000000001 more HP it might be worth it but if it takes away like Lance says then it is NOT worth it!

it is extra weight to slow you down. and if you put it on headers it voids warranty.
