Truck is a stock 4.8 motor with only a tune and e-fans.
The tube is 4inch.
I will be testing it next week on the dyno.

I would wrap the tube with some header wrap. You can get a 10ft piece off of ebay for like $7 shipped. it turned out ver nice.

I drove around for an hour and the tube when I stopped was cold to the touch.
I dont care much about it staying cool the whole time im driving. Its a truck.
Im getting it coated next week that should help with some of the heat transfer.

Where did you get that? I wanted something like that a while back but didn't have the time to get it custom bent. I think its perfect. I would get some plasti-coat or rubber bedliner stuff and spray it on there and call it a day.

I had a 180 bend of it from doing the cold side of a turbo system.
The K&N is the 77 metal intake kit or something like that..I used the "heat shield" velocity stack and the filter didnt use the rest of the kit.

After driving it for a day..Feels like it lost some lowend power.May try a 3.5" tube till I can get a cam in it.

I have a completely stock exhaust system...the air intake is the only sound from the motor you can hear.
