Default Think I'm gonna head in a different direction....

I think I'm gonna put FI on hold for a while, and build a good N/A setup for now.

So far this is what I'm thinking:

TR220 114LSA w/ 1218s and pushrods
Circle D 3000 or YTT3000
OEM 4.10s or Yukon 4.30s
100 shot of happy juice
...and the rest of the supporting mods (drivetrain, exhaust, etc...)

Even though I have a work truck to pull my travel trailer and boat, could this setup handle either one with relative ease? Heaviest is my TT weighing at 6600lbs loaded. I'm not talking about a trip across the states, just about 100 miles at most, same for the boat. With the gears I don't think it would be a problem, just looking for a little more knowledge on the subject as dealing with Stalls is all greek to me.

ETA: Before it comes up, I've been reading threads back to '05. I searched, and am now looking for some opinions.

That's what I was thinking, a tight 3000 should be fine. Probable gonna skip the 918s even though Comp has supposedly gotten their crap together, it's not a risk worth taking at this point.

Don't really want the lope, and I don't want someone to know I've got something until I'm pulling away...

You're still deff going to have a lope with the 114lsa. My old 216/220 114lsa had a noticeable lope with the cutout open (less with it closed but still noticeable)

I don't mind a little lope. I've heard a truck with a TSP220 114 running through a 24" magnaflow and unless you were next to the truck you really couldn't tell it had a cam. Granted this truck did have high flow cats, and I'm going to run an ORY. How much of a difference, we'll see.

I'm ok with a little lope , and if I wasn't in my truck as much as I am, I probably would go with the 112.
